This week's unamusing house meeting notes are brought to you by the letters P and S, and the number 2.
Upcoming EventsFri Oct 27 is a good day to die. And for a dorm dinner! Chevy's at 5:00 PM; East Lobby at 4:30 PM. Be there or face a lengthy bike ride. The Stanford Symphony Orchestra will present their annual Halloween Concert at 8:00 PM on Tue Oct 31. It will be in Dinkelspiel Auditorium, and the winner of a costume contest will get to conduct the final song. Wed Nov 1 is Faculty Night for Twain. We want to show off our new dining hall like a proud parent, so invite your favorite professors. This could influence your grade even more than section performance. Sat Dec 2 is beach cleanup--thanks, Cathie! We will be working with Donner and Roble. For more information, check the Community Service Bulletin Board outside Cathie's room in Upper North. Or just ask Cathie! |
The Tahoe trip is still Fri Jan 12 through Mon Jan 15, MLK weekend. Big Vinny will be extorting funds from interested parties by the evening of Sat Oct 28. The first 55 people to pay and ask to be on the bus will be on the bus. Others will be unceremoniously shoved into the luggage compartment.
Now throw your hands in the air!Mausoleum party is Fri Oct 27. Twain Progressive is Sat Oct 28 in Upper East. There will not be a Karaoke machine--our "empty orchestra" goes all the way, baby! Trick-or-treating is Tue Oct 31 in Upper North. Wear costumes to all events or be mocked ceaselessly. Start thinking about the Twain Semi-formal that will be on Sat Nov 11. Do not screw your roommate; instead, go screw yourself. Dates, while not required, are "recommended." It will be a cock-tail party. |
IMsIMs continue as our frisbee team tosses its way to an undefeated record. You know the drill: Sat Oct 21 5:00 PM is frisbee. Sun Oct 22 10:15 AM is inner tube water polo. Sun Oct 22 12:00 noon is football. Twain MattersCharles is currently collecting money for Gaieties tickets. If necessary, he has been authorized to use maximum force. Don't break into the dining hall, people. The Lucky Charms will still be there in the morning. Masque magazine asked for $50; Twain gave them $10. Our charity knows small bounds. Scott saw Ralph Nader. He said it was a "hot" event and that he would "keep it up." Scott also likes to go down to the court as a Sixth Man and "feel the players." Thanks for sharing, Scott. -AndrewV, bearer of the blank badge
