Upcoming Events

  The Most Fun Week Ever comes to a close, so everyone smoke a post-MFWE cigarette or something.

  Tue Feb 6 the creator of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Alli Bell's good friend, and Disney Imagineer¹ (though not necessarily in that order) will be speaking to Twain. As is the wont of someone so highly creative, a concrete time has yet to be determined.

  Wed Feb 7 Twain residents will be "Crossing the Line," so to speak, at 7:00 P.M. The binding blood compact of previous Line Crossings prevents me from revealing what goes on at this event -- but the doors are locked to outsiders, so you know it's got to be good.

  Sat Feb 10 you can dance if you want to -- but don't leave your friends behind! Where to go? Elementary: the Fire and Ice Dance, 9:00 PM-1:00 A.M. at Toyon Hall. The lovely ladies of Chi Omega will be selling tickets in White Plaza.

  Fri Apr 6 White Plaza will host "An Art Affair," which is like a torrid romantic affair only far less sticky. Submissions are due Fri Mar 2.

Of Shoes and Ships and Sealing Wax and Cabbages and Kings (and Parties)

  Fri Feb 2, enjoy Screw Your Roommate at the Faculty Club from 9:00 P.M.-1:00 A.M. This is the closest things to romance many Twainites will experience all quarter, so make the most of it! Twain will have a pre-party at 8:00 P.M. to help get you in the proper mood.²

  Sat Feb 3 Twain will have a Karaoke³ party. Sing or die.

Twain Matters

  Our newly acquired used pool table is many things; ambulatory is not one of them. Twain needs volunteers to pick it up this weekend. People who whined for months⁴ about how badly Twain needs a pool table are highly encouraged to assist.

  We are spending some money on equipment for the kitchenette, some other money on dorm t-shirts, and some third chunk of money on Krispy Kreme donuts. Ideally.
